*$1 provides about 200 Gospel tracts, which can give 200 or more people a chance to hear about Jesus.
More than 2 billion people have yet to hear of Christ’s love.¹ That’s why we’re on a mission to help provide 100 million Gospel tracts by the end of July. These small pieces of paper are printed in people’s native languages and can travel into restricted regions, crowded cities and remote villages. All along their journey, these tracts are read and passed on to many who are still awaiting the Savior.
“Never in my life had I heard about such a God. I had no idea that a paper is so valuable and can touch our hearts and show us the true way of life.”
—Kieran
Since 1979, GFA World has helped bring the hope of Christ to millions in Africa and Asia. Through our partnership with local churches, millions of believers now worship the Lord in more than 15,000 congregations. These believers eagerly share Christ’s love in word and deed with their communities. Our goal is to come alongside them until all have had the chance to hear and call on Jesus’ name!
“I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His saving grace. … I am going to the beach area [to] speak to the young people and distribute the Gospel tracts as I believe that in the same way God spoke to me, He will reach out to them, too.”
—Jonathan, Sri Lanka
Each pamphlet containing the saving name of Jesus costs less than a penny to print.
In many African and Asian cultures, the gift of literature is not taken lightly, and tracts are often read, re-read and saved.
Over the years, we’ve observed that one Gospel opportunity often turns into multiple as the original recipient passes their pamphlet on to others.
Given out among crowds, handed to inhabitants of remote jungle villages or even quietly received in difficult areas, literature offers the opportunity to share Jesus’ name with many who still wait to call on Him and be saved.
There were no ambulances. There were no proper roads. So when Haruto's neighbor needed help, Haruto put him on his shoulders and trudged to the nearest hospital. This was his childhood community, and he had returned as the only believer, longing to share Christ's love with them.
As he met with people, he handed out Christian literature—small pamphlets and pages imprinted with words about Jesus. In a place where most people had never owned a single book, this was not insignificant. He'd leave one with whoever would take it. Some could read, but many found others who would read it to them.
He prayed for those who were sick. And God, in His great love for mankind, answered in ways that surprised these people who didn't even know this Jesus. And something shifted.
Because of his quiet ministry—the kind that carries a neighbor on its shoulders when there are no roads and leaves something in a person's hands long after the conversation ends—people started gathering. First in Haruto’s living room. Then a neighbor’s house when that grew too small. Then a church they built together.
The village that had never known Christ’s name now sends people out to carry it further. Today, four churches stand in the surrounding region. Some of the young people serving in them once held a pamphlet they couldn’t yet read and found someone who could read it to them.
Now they’re handing out that same literature.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
