The plight of widows in South Asia
For more than 40 million widows in South Asia, life is a desperate struggle for survival. They are blamed for their husbands' deaths, forsaken by their families, shunned by their friends and despised by their communities.
This year for International Widows’ Day, June 23, GFA World will minister to women who believe they are a curse and not worthy of love. “How?” you ask. During the weeks leading up to June 23, local Women Fellowship teams will provide widows with meals and clothing and also share how Jesus loves them in a very personal way.
