My GFA Story

Throughout high school I was extraordinary blessed with opportunities to take part on a number of short-term mission trips. These trips set the stage for my passion in missions and media. After graduating from Lamar University in 2013 with my B.A degree in Communication, I moved to Houston and found a wonderful church community to serve. During this time, I struggled to find work where I could serve the Lord and utilize my skills as a videographer and editor. It was in this season that a friend introduced me to a video program in Minnesota which really helped sharpen my skills and serve the Lord by creating videos for a missions university. For three years I interned for the visual media department at Bethany Global University where I gained practical skills both in media and missions. In the fall of 2020, I moved back to Texas to see what opportunities the Lord might lead me too. It was during this pursuit of my next steps of faith, that I found out about GFA World. What caught my attention about GFA World is all the practical ways GFA strives to display the love of Jesus by lifting up communities around the world. I am impressed on just how much GFA does in order to make an eternal difference. I have been immensely blessed since starting on staff. I eagerly look forward to serving the Lord through my skills making His name known and glorified.

What I do

I serve as a video editor in the Visual Media department. I truly enjoy working where God has placed me. I create video content that highlights the wide range of programs GFA provides and supports. It is a blessing to serve the Lord through my skills and craft. Each day, I am reminded of how my work directly impacts and serves people all around the world. When editing, I want to look for the best images, video clips, graphics, and music that will convey the needs of God's people to our partners and leave a lasting impression that they are a tangible expression of God's love in parts of the world where so many need to know of His love.
