My GFA Story

I grew up hearing about GFA through their books and videos. In 2012 I started doing volunteer work at the office off and on over the course of the next few years. During this time, I began to feel the Lord calling me to be doing this more long-term. So, I joined their School of Discipleship program in 2015 and then came on staff not long after. I love being a part of the ministry that GFA does in sharing the light and hope of Christ. It is also amazing to get to serve alongside people who are passionate about God and His Kingdom.

What I do

I serve in a few different areas of the ministry, in our Staff Services Department, which is exactly as it sounds :) I help run our Apprenticeship Program (a six-month internship for singles 18+) and process stories and reports that come in from the field so they can be used effectively. I also take part in GFA’s weekly prayer meetings, helping to run things behind the scenes or share prayer needs. Prayer is a huge part of what we each do here, and we often meet to lift up needs on the field, in the office, and for those who stand with us in this work. I love the fact that every day I get to get up and be a part of helping those who are hopeless or forgotten hear how desperately loved they are by the Lord and see His church grow in places that had never heard His Name before.
