My GFA Story
Missions is something I have been passionate about from a young age. I had the opportunity to serve out of country for a few years in a children’s home. This was an eye-opening experience. I had been praying for a few years about missions and where God would have me serve. I attended a set apart youth conference that GFA does annually. It was very impactful for me. I joined the apprenticeship program six months later. This ministry has had a profound impact on my life, and I am excited to be a part of what God is doing through this ministry.
What I do
I work in the Fulfillment Department which is where we process all the mail. This involves printing, folding, inserting and metering all the mail. A few things we send out are receipts, which are sent out daily. We also send out regional updates to sponsors. Statements are usually sent out bi-monthly. We also send Revolution in World Missions books out weekly, along with quite a few other books, most of which were written by K. P. Yohannan. I also do Housing Hospitality. This involves prepping houses for guests/ministry partners and cleaning them after guests leave.

Favorite Field Ministry
My favorite part of the ministry is the kids’ ministries, like Bridge of Hope and the children’s homes. I love to see vulnerable children being taken off the streets and being brought to safe places of love and care, learning and being taught about Jesus, and being given an education and an opportunity to have a better future.
Hobbies and Interests
Some relaxing things that I enjoy doing are reading books, I especially enjoy old classics, I also enjoy reading inspirational books. Going on long leisure walks, especially in the evening, is a great way for me to unwind and process my day. Hiking through mountains and forests is also life-giving. I have also done some running. I enjoy doing most crafts as well, I have gotten into macramé in the last few years. It’s been fun to see how many different things you can do with it.
